Food and water supplies

The Mont Blanc Marathon is a semi-autonomous race. Semi-autonomy is defined as the ability to be self-sufficient between two refreshment points, in terms of food, clothing and safety equipment, enabling the runner to adapt to any problems encountered or foreseeable (bad weather, physical problems, injuries, etc.).
Only runners wearing a visible race number and duly checked will have access to the refreshment posts.

The composition of the refreshment posts will be sent to runners at a later date.

Any runner seen littering the course will be penalized. A large number of garbage cans are available at each refreshment station and must be used.
Individual assistance is only permitted 20 metres before and 20 metres after the refreshment posts. Outside these zones, assistance is forbidden, as is support during the race.

In a friendly atmosphere, our aim is to control the entire production chain. We offer a wide range of roasted products with authentic taste and quality, respecting the nature of the raw materials that go into them and the people who grow them.

Speciality "bean-to-cup" coffee

Image
Café shoukâ

Coffee has many health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and micronutrients, coffee contributes to the daily intake of dietary fibre, which aids intestinal transit and kidney function. A genuine natural stimulant, the caffeine contained in coffee is thought to reduce the perception of exertion and even facilitate breathing. The ideal amount of coffee to enjoy its benefits: 3 cups a day or 400 to 450 mg of caffeine daily.

At Shoukâ, our speciality coffees are freshly roasted by us in our factory in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc using the bean-to-cup principle. From Bolivia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ethiopia and Brazil, our speciality coffees are an invitation to travel to the heart of terroirs and traceable plantations that promote sustainable and social farming practices. We have carefully tasted them and then selected them according to their aromatic profile, so that you can discover a wide range of flavours and enjoy a unique tasting experience. Shoukâ has around fifteen speciality coffees available in bulk or in bags, in beans or ground on demand, to guarantee optimum freshness.

"Bean-to-bar" chocolate bars

Tablette de chocolat Shoukâ

Like coffee, cocoa is an important source of fibre, aiding digestion and stimulating intestinal transit. Dark chocolate contributes to healthy blood circulation and helps prevent cardiovascular disease. Even more so than green tea, chocolate is a great antioxidant, rich in minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, copper, zinc and iron. It helps combat fatigue, stress and anxiety, and goes even further: it contributes to well-being and happiness by stimulating endorphins!

At Shoukâ, our bars are made by hand in our factory in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, using the bean-to-bar principle. We select cocoa beans from small plantations, often organic, according to their botanical variety and flavour profile. We then carry out all the production stages at low temperature to preserve the nutritional and taste values of the beans: we roast, crush, grind, conch and temper each bar with the utmost care. Our chocolatiers prefer organic products and use no additives, lecithins or preservatives. Shoukâ offers more than 25 bars made from 6 different origins of beans to satisfy every taste bud.

Brasserie du Mont-Blanc "At the summit by nature"

An IPA or India Pale Ale revisited (4,7% vol.) A light blond beer that is weel-balanced, refreshing and delicately hopped. Brewed using water from the glaciers of Mont Blanc, la Cristal IPA of Brasserie du Mont Blanc comes from the association of kilned barley malts, and aromatic hops such as Saaz, and original hops (USA origin) with floral and citrus notes.

Une bière d’exception made in « Les Alpes » depuis 1830.
