Elite runners

For each race, elite athletes are eligible for an elite bib, which may be free or require a fee, depending on their UTMB index.

Elite Bib Allocation Criteria for 2027

The UTMB index held by the runner on the day of registration determines the criteria for assigning their bib. For runners who do not have a UTMB Index, the ITRA rating may also be taken into account.

Prize Money 2027

Prize money is awarded to the male and female winners, on an equal basis, in the 42km du Mont-Blanc, the 90km du Mont-Blanc, the 23km du Mont-Blanc, and the Kilomètre Vertical.

Accreditation Required for Race Support Staff

Team managers accompanying elite athletes and individuals wishing to support a runner must apply for accreditation in order to be authorized to follow their runner along the course and gain access to the aid stations.

TEAM MANAGER ACCREDITATION (applications accepted starting in April 2027)

As a reminder, assistance to runners is permitted only 100 meters before and 100 meters after the aid stations. Any assistance provided outside the authorized zones will result in a time penalty for the runners who received such assistance.

(51 Avenue de la Plage, 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc).
