In 2024, 140 solidarity bibs (spread over the Duo Etoilé, 42km, 23km and 90km du Mont-Blanc) are on offer to help the club's youngsters carry out their sporting projects. For runners, it's the chance to guarantee their entry in one of the Mont-Blanc Marathon races by making a direct donation to help children in their sporting projects.

Thanks to the €70,000 raised in 2023, 250 youngsters from 11 sports sections were able to make their dreams come true:

  • Korean Martial Arts section: team-building camp in Germany.
  • Climbing section: Alpine traverse from Chamonix to Innsbruck (Austria).

Environmental bibs

All solidarity and environmental bibs for the 2024 races are now sold out.

Since the creation of the Cross du Mont-Blanc in 1979, the Club des Sports de Chamonix has been working to offer quality races that limit their impact on the environment.

Today, more than ever, climate and environmental issues are at the heart of our concerns. That's why we're reinforcing our commitment by offering environmental solidarity race numbers.

Through this initiative, our aim is to participate in an ecological movement that goes beyond the framework of our event, and to have a positive impact on the planet.

In 2024, we're delighted to be making 35 environmental bib numbers available, across the Duo Etoilé, 23km, 42km and 90km Mont-Blanc races.

For runners, this is an opportunity to guarantee their entry in one of the Mont-Blanc Marathon races, while helping to preserve our ecosystems. The funds raised through these donations will contribute directly to financing environmental initiatives.

Overcoming Cystic Fibrosis

The Mont Blanc Marathon has joined forces with Trail Runners Against Muco in the fight against cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that mainly affects the respiratory and digestive systems.

For over 20 years, the Chamonix-based association Trail Runners Against Muco has been taking on sporting challenges to raise funds for Vaincre la Mucoviscidose. These challenges can be virtual, such as the crossing of the American continent in 2014 (22,950€ donated to VLM), or real, such as participation in the 23km du Mont-Blanc in 2023 (23,546€ raised).

Their motto: "Let's give breath to those who lack it, and together let's win life!"

By supporting Vaincre La Mucoviscidose, Trail Runners Against Muco contributes to the following objectives:

Raise funds to support medical and scientific research aimed at finding more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for cystic fibrosis.

Improve patients' quality of life by offering them appropriate support, helping them to manage their disease on a day-to-day basis, and providing them with social and psychological support.

Raise awareness and inform the general public about the disease and its challenges.

Become a support runner by choosing one of the 20 support bibs for the Duo Etoilé, 23 km, 42 km and 90 km du Mont-Blanc. You can also support a runner friend by making a donation to their fundraising campaign, which will enable them to be at the start of the race and experience a sporting, human and supportive challenge.

In France, donors benefit from a tax deduction of 66% of the amount donated, up to a limit of 20% of their taxable income.
