Choosing your race

The Mont Blanc Marathon races take place in the mountains, on technical courses with significant differences in altitude. To take part in these races, it is recommended that you have good mountain running experience, are at ease on all types of terrain and are self-sufficient for several hours. We remind you that it is generally considered that 100 m of positive ascent corresponds to 1 km of additional running.

For example: the 42km Mont-Blanc with a positive altitude difference of 2730m, corresponds to a distance of 42km + 27km, or 69km. We therefore recommend that you take into account the difference in altitude before registering for a race.

Solidarity bibs

Since 2016, the Club des Sports de Chamonix has been selling solidarity bibs to fund sporting projects.

In 2023, thanks to the €70,000 raised, 250 young people from 11 sections were able to make their dreams come true.

For runners, it's the chance to guarantee their entry in one of the Mont Blanc Marathon races by making a donation to help children in their sporting projects.

Logo Run the Alps

Our aim? To find the best trail running experiences in the Swiss, French and Italian Alps. Away from the crowds, in the villages of the high Alpine mountains, we'll be looking for trails that are a little quieter, wilder and bring together all the best the Alps have to offer.
