Carnet de course - Sophie Delrez
For Sophie, the Mont Blanc Marathon is more than just a sporting performance: it's a race with meaning, a moment of personal challenge and a tribute to her brother Robin, who died last year.
At 35, an emergency doctor and mother of two, she leads an intense life. Trail running has been her refuge for over ten years: running in nature, relieving the stress of everyday life... a real moment of meditation and well-being.
This year, Sophie will be at the start of the 42 km race with a number drawn at random, accompanied by her friend Maude. Her sister, her mom and Nina, her brother's ex-partner, will be taking part in the 10 km. For her, this race is much more than a goal: it's a tribute, a moment of sharing and precious memories in the valley Robin loved so much.
💬 "Every moment experienced at the Mont Blanc Marathon corresponds to a stage in my life: my marriage, the birth of my first child, and today, this bond with my brother. We've had some wonderful moments with family and friends here in Chamonix."
The Mont Blanc Marathon is about running with your heart and leaving with memories that last forever.

This year, the Mont Blanc Marathon makes more sense than ever. My little brother Robin loved Chamonix... I'm running this race for him. Every stride, every climb, is a tribute to his memory, and I feel all the strength of his presence by my side."
