TRANSPORtaTION IN CHAMONIX

With a view to sustainable development and to support and assist the organisation on eco-mobility issues, ATMB (Mont Blanc Motorway and Tunnel) continues its commitment to the Mont Blanc Marathon. We invite runners and their companions to use public transport.

Runners’ shuttles

For the departures of the 90km and the 42km the organization sets up special buses.

Here are the timetables below.

This will allow runners to start the race without using their car.

Supporters shuttles

In order to access the various aid stations, free shuttles will be available for accompanying persons on Friday June 23rd for the 90km, Saturday June 24th for the 23 km of Mont-Blanc and Sunday June 25th for the 42 km of Mont-Blanc.

90 km of Mont-Blanc – Friday, June 23rd 2023
Departures will be from Chamonix at the “Place du Mont-Blanc” stop located next to the Trail Camp in the direction of Le Buet.

Shuttles will rotate between Le Buet and Emosson.

With regard to returns, accompanying persons will have to take public transport from Le Buet.

23 km of Mont-Blanc – Saturday June 24th 2023

Departures will be from Chamonix at the “La Frasse” stop located next to the Aire des Parapentes in the direction of Montroc.

Regarding returns, shuttles will make a trip between Montroc and the bottom of the Planpraz cable car

42 km of Mont-Blanc – Sunday, June 25th 2023

Departures will be from Chamonix at the “Place du Mont-Blanc” stop located next to the Trail Camp in the direction of Le Tour.

Shuttles will rotate between Le Tour and Vallorcine.

With regard to returns, shuttles will make a trip between Le Tour and the bottom of the Planpraz cable car.

Public transports

The Chamonix Bus urban transport network serves the entire Chamonix Valley, from Servoz to Le Tour.

In order to preserve the environment in which the Mont-Blanc Marathon races take place and to facilitate public travel, all public transport in the Valley (bus and train), from Servoz to Vallorcine, will be free on presentation of a guest card. Ask your host for this guest card
