Club

des Sports de Chamonix

All solidarity and environmental bibs for the 2024 races are now sold out.

Since 2016, the Chamonix Sports Club has been offering solidarity bibs to finance sports projects for the children of the Sports Club.

In 2024, 140 charity bibs (spread over the Duo Etoile, Mont-Blanc 42km, 23km and 90km) are offered to help the young generation of the club to carry out their sports projects. For runners, it’s the possibility of guaranteeing their registration to one of the races of the Mont-Blanc Marathon by making a direct donation in order to help children in their sports project.

In 2023, thanks to the 70 000€ raised, 250 young people from 11 sports sections were able to achieve their dreams:

  • Korean martial arts : cohesion course in Germany.
  • Climbing: Alpine Traverse from Chamonix to Innsbruck (Austria).
  • Soccer: “Copa Maresme” tournament on the Costa Brava.
  • Hockey: “Easter Cup” tournament in Czech Republic.

Environmental

Bibs

All solidarity and environmental bibs for the 2024 races are now sold out.

Since the creation of the Cross du Mont-Blanc in 1979, the Club des Sports de Chamonix has been working to offer quality races while limiting their impact on the environment.

Today, more than ever, climate and environmental issues are at the heart of our concerns. That’s why we are reinforcing our commitment by offering environmental solidarity race numbers.

Through this initiative, our aim is to participate in an ecological movement that goes beyond the framework of our event, and to have a positive impact on the planet.

In 2024, we’re delighted to be making 35 environmental bibs available, across the Duo Etoilé, 23km, 42km and 90km Mont-Blanc races.

For runners, this is an opportunity to guarantee their entry in one of the Mont-Blanc Marathon races, while helping to preserve our ecosystems. The funds raised through these donations will contribute directly to financing environmental initiatives.

Vaincre

Les Maladies Lysosomales

Because it appeared from the outset that the union was creator of strength, VML has chosen to open to all lysosomal diseases, rare and very rare, known and less known. A positive choice because experience shows that our 53 diseases, although different, confront parents, patients, doctors and scientists with many common issues and problems. The synergies of mutual aid, daily support, medical care and scientific approaches have benefited from this common mobilisation and experiences gained from each other…

In a proactive approach, the VML association has three missions:

  • Offer help and support services to patients and their families.
  • Promote scientific and medical knowledge.
  • Promote the action of VML and contribute to the financing of programs.

Vaincre les Maladies Lysosomales (translation: overcoming Lysosomal Diseases) is a non-profit organisation (law of July 1st 1901) created in 1990 and recognised by Public Utility by decree of December 6 th 2006.

Become a Charity runner: 55 bibs are available on the Mont-Blanc 42 km, 23 km and 90 km, or support a friend runner solidarity: make a donation on his collection to allow him to be at the start of the race to live a sporting, human and solidarity challenge.

Vaincre

la mucoviscidose

The Mont Blanc Marathon unites with Trail Runners Against Muco in the fight against cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that mainly affects the respiratory and digestive systems.

For over 20 years, the Chamonix-based association Trail Runners Against Muco has been taking on sporting challenges to raise funds for Vaincre la Mucoviscidose. These challenges can be virtual, such as the crossing of the American continent in 2014 (22,950€ donated to VLM), or real, such as participation in the 23km du Mont-Blanc in 2023 (23,546€ raised).

Their motto: “Let’s give breath to those who lack it, and together let’s win life!”

By supporting Vaincre La Mucoviscidose, Trail Runners Against Muco contributes to the following objectives:

  • Raise funds to support medical and scientific research aimed at finding more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for cystic fibrosis.
  • Improve patients’ quality of life by offering them appropriate support, helping them to manage their disease on a daily basis, and providing them with social and psychological support.
  • Raise awareness and inform the general public about the disease and its challenges.

Become a support runner by choosing one of the 20 support bibs for the Duo Etoilé, 23 km, 42 km and 90 km du Mont-Blanc. You can also support a friend runner by making a donation to his or her fundraising campaign, which will enable to be at the start of the race and to live a sporty and human challenge.

In France, the donor benefits from a tax deduction of 66% of the amount donated, up to a limit of 20% of taxable income.
