The safety commission met this morning at 11:00 to decide whether today’s Vertical Kilometer Race will be able to take place.
The weather forecast states that the storm conditions will continue until 18:00/19:00 today.
In light of this information the organising committee has decided to postpone the Vertical Kilometer race which will now take place on Saturday 25/6/2022 from 07:00.
Runners will be given a new start time which they can find online on their bib collection card by the end of this afternoon.
Runners who are not able to pick up their bib today, will be able to collect it from 06:00 tomorrow morning at the Place du Triangle de l’Amitié (the start line for the Vertical Kilometre).
Supporters who wish to access the finish line at Planpraz can do so from 08:00 tomorrow morning and may use today’s ticket.
The postponement of the Vertical Kilometre will not affect our ability to run the other races scheduled for Saturday.
We would invite runners who have registered for several races (e.g. the Vertical Kilometer and another race); and who are now unable to participate in both, to select whichever of the two races they would prefer to run in.
The organising committee is currently working to be able to detail how the ‘race postponement’ conditions set out in the race regulations (registration priority, refund percentage) will apply. This information will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
